Israelis Staying Abroad

If you are currently outside of Israel and unable to return due to the security situation, and you need medication or medical care, you must contact your health insurance provider.

Extending Medical Insurance

It’s very important to contact the emergency center of the health insurance provider you used before traveling abroad, check the insurance expiration date, and extend it if needed.

Receiving Medical Care

  • In a medical emergency, go to the nearest hospital for treatment and contact your health insurance provider immediately.
  • For non-urgent situations, contact the health insurance provider for instructions. You may be referred to local doctors who have agreements with the health insurance provider or to specific medical facilities.

Getting Medication

If you need medication, contact your health insurance company for detailed instructions.

NOTE

To avoid out-of-pocket expenses that may not be reimbursed, always contact your health insurance provider with any questions.
